“Moby’s edge is helping traders understand what smart money is doing and act on it. Advanced orders were the natural next step, but we didn’t want to spend months building execution infrastructure across multiple chains. Definitive Flash gave us the full advanced-order stack through one integration while keeping users self-custodial. The adoption since launch has validated that decision: 30% of our users have already placed an advanced order, with nearly $1M in volume across Take Profit, Stop Loss, TWAP, and Limit orders.”
— Matias Dorta, CEO, Moby
Moby is a smart-money trading app built by the team behind AssetDash and Whale Watch. Its premise is straightforward: show traders what the best wallets are doing—and let them act on that intelligence immediately.
Whale Watch surfaces transactions from tracked wallets as they hit the chain. Smart Money Reads translate onchain activity into plain-English signals about who's accumulating, who's selling, and what may be driving a move. Key Holders shows which proven wallets currently hold a token.
The result is a live, structured, and auditable intelligence layer built directly into the trading experience.
Moby is available on iOS and Android across Solana, Robinhood Chain, Base, and BNB Chain, supporting assets ranging from memecoins and crypto majors to tokenized equities, pre-IPO names, and gold. More than 75,000 traders have executed 2M+ trades through the platform.
Moby had solved discovery and intelligence. But there was still a gap between seeing a signal and expressing a complete trading strategy around it. A trader could spot a whale accumulating and decide the thesis was bullish—but still had to manually time the entry, monitor downside, and decide when to exit. Moby wanted to close that gap.
Advanced orders were a natural extension of Moby's product. See smart money accumulating? Set a Limit order at the desired entry. Want exposure without betting on a single entry point? DCA into the position over time. Worried the thesis could break overnight? Protect the position with a Stop Loss. Have a price target? Set Take Profit and automate the exit.
The product opportunity was clear. The infrastructure required to deliver it reliably was considerably more complex.
Building that infrastructure internally would pull engineering resources away from the reason users choose Moby in the first place: its intelligence layer.
Every engineering cycle spent maintaining execution infrastructure was one not spent improving Whale Watch, Smart Money Reads, Moby's AI agent, copy trading, or the product's engagement loops.
Moby needed advanced execution without becoming an execution-infrastructure company.
Definitive was built by Coinbase Prime and Tagomi alumni to bring professional-grade execution infrastructure onchain. Flash API exposes that execution engine through a single REST integration.
For Moby, that meant one integration could add sophisticated execution across multiple chains and asset classes while fitting directly into its existing Privy-powered, self-custodial wallet architecture.
Moby owns the intelligence and user experience. Flash manages the execution lifecycle underneath it.
Limit: Set an entry or exit at a specified price or better.
Stop Loss: Define downside protection in advance and automatically exit when specified conditions are satisfied.
Take Profit: Establish an upside target and automate the exit when conditions are met.
DCA: Build a position gradually through recurring execution, reducing dependence on a single entry point.
Together, these orders turn Moby's intelligence from information into strategy. A trader can identify an opportunity, define an entry, build a position over time, establish downside protection, and automate an exit, all without leaving the app.
For Moby's developers, those capabilities come through one execution API rather than multiple infrastructure projects.
The API call is the simple part. Reliably executing an order hours or days later is where the infrastructure becomes difficult.
After an order intent is submitted, Flash handles execution from end-to-end.
Moby operates across Solana and multiple EVM ecosystems. Building separate advanced-order infrastructure for every chain would multiply both engineering work and maintenance. Flash provides the abstraction layer.
The same integration supports execution across 15+ major EVM chains and Solana, allowing Moby to expand its trading experience without rebuilding order infrastructure chain by chain.
Moby decides where its users should trade. Flash handles how those trades execute.
Moby's wallets are powered by Privy, and self-custody is central to the product experience. Flash preserves that architecture.
Placing a Limit, Stop Loss, Take Profit, or DCA order doesn't require users to deposit assets with Definitive. Funds remain in the user's wallet while an order waits for its execution conditions—even if that takes days. When the order becomes executable, the authorized transaction is completed and settled onchain.
Moby gets persistent advanced orders without introducing a custodial trading account or separate deposit workflow.
Moby's asset universe extends beyond traditional crypto tokens. The platform also supports tokenized equities such as NVDA, AAPL, SPY, and TSLA, alongside pre-IPO assets and gold.
Flash supports ERC-20 and SPL assets, including tokenized RWAs. That means Moby doesn't need one execution architecture for memecoins and another for tokenized financial assets. A user can place a Limit order on a crypto token and DCA into tokenized equity exposure through the same underlying execution infrastructure.
As onchain markets expand beyond crypto-native assets, that flexibility becomes increasingly important.
Flash didn't simply add several new order types. It allowed Moby to make a strategic product decision:
With Flash handling execution end-to-end, Moby's engineering team can stay focused on the capabilities that differentiate its product:
The clearest validation came from Moby's users.
Within the first month of launch, 30% of Moby's user base had placed at least one advanced order. Since launch, $1M in advanced-order volume has flowed through Definitive Flash.
Even more telling is how traders are using those orders:
The mix provides an important signal. 75% of Moby's advanced-order volume is Take Profit or Stop Loss. Traders are using Flash for automation to manage position exits.
Most consumer trading apps don’t yet include advanced orders or trade automation. As Moby grows, Flash's role scales with it.
Most importantly, the integration allows Moby to differentiate where its team creates the most value; combining proprietary onchain intelligence with professional-grade execution in a single product.
Moby's roadmap makes that execution layer increasingly valuable.
Copy trading based on Whale Watch data, AI-assisted portfolio management, and expansion into additional chains and asset classes all benefit from programmable execution. Copy trading becomes more useful when strategies include risk controls. AI portfolio management becomes more capable when an agent can DCA, place Limits, protect positions with Stops, and automate exits rather than simply submit market swaps.
Flash already provides a broader execution surface through the same API, including DCA, Limit, Stop, Take Profit, Bracket, Quick Trade, and cross-chain orders.
As Flash adds capabilities, chains, and liquidity sources, Moby will automatically inherit them.
Your product doesn't need to become a trading-infrastructure company to offer sophisticated trading. Moby built the intelligence layer its users come for. Definitive Flash powers the execution layer that lets them act on it.
